01 / The experience

Less to think about.
More to enjoy.

A well-designed cabin should feel intuitive. One considered control can bring lighting, blinds, temperature and music within easy reach.

  • Personalised icons and labels for each space.
  • Scenes that coordinate several functions with one touch.
  • Clear everyday controls, with app access when you need more.

Finishes and layouts selected with your interior designer and crew.

Design choice / Ekinex + KNX

Beautiful to see.
Natural to touch.

The controls you touch every day should belong to the interior. Ekinex brings tactile detail and distinctive finishes to lighting, shading and scenes — connected to the onboard system through KNX.

ERA / Sculpted detail

A touch of character.

Designed by Michael Vincent UY, ERA pairs sculpted rockers with expressive finishes. Select the button layout and finish to complement each cabin and shared space.

PROXIMA / Round collection

A softer geometry.
The same considered control.

Circular plates and tactile buttons offer a different design language. Coordinate the controls with matching wiring accessories for a consistent finish throughout the interior.

One system, your choice of control

Compatible Ekinex KNX pushbuttons can trigger agreed lighting, shading and scene functions through a specified Loxone KNX interface. Device functions, feedback and commissioning are verified for each project.

Selected for the space

Finishes, button layouts and available functions vary by model. Controls are specified for suitable interior locations. Matching sockets and USB accessories shown are separate wiring products.

02 / The intelligence

The brain behind
the experience.

The Loxone Miniserver runs the agreed automation locally: it reads inputs, applies the programmed logic and coordinates connected equipment.

Onboard operation

Local scenes and schedules do not need a cloud connection. They still depend on power, the controller and their local communication paths.

A system that can grow

Tree devices, cabinet Extensions and network interfaces allow the design to develop as your yacht’s needs change.

One coherent setup

Controls, operating modes and permissions are configured around the vessel and the people using it.

03 / The connections

One system.
A considered architecture.

Local control at the centre. The right connection for each device. Remote access only where authorised.

Tree. The wired foundation.

NEW BUILDS / ACCESSIBLE CABLE ROUTES

Loxone Tree connects compatible controls, sensors and actuators through a flexible wired topology. It suits planned installations where cable routes can be designed from the start.

  • Our preferred basis for accessible fixed infrastructure.
  • Labelled wiring and space for future expansion.

Air. Flexibility for a refit.

SELECTED RETROFIT AREAS

Loxone Air offers wireless communication for compatible devices. It can reduce disruption to finished interiors where new control cabling is impractical.

  • Coverage tested around metal bulkheads and closed doors.
  • Regional frequency, power and battery access checked.

Wired and wireless can coexist. Final selection follows the onboard survey; neither connection type replaces independently required safety systems.

04 / The ecosystem

Bring the right
systems together.

A coordinated yacht does not need every device to come from one manufacturer. We select suitable Loxone interfaces and verify the equipment, commands and feedback before committing to an integration.

01

Lighting & shading

From a quiet reading light to an evening scene, with dimming and blind control matched to the installed drivers and motors.

DALI · DMX · Tree · KNX · suitable I/O

02

Climate & ventilation

Room setpoints and operating modes through supported interfaces, while retaining equipment protection and local controls.

Modbus RTU/TCP · KNX · manufacturer gateways

03

Music & everyday audio

Loxone Audioserver supports room-based playback and grouped zones. Local media and online services are selected to suit life on board.

Audioserver · Tree Turbo · compatible speakers

04

Intercom & access

Visitor communication and authorised access requests. Any gangway interface retains the manufacturer’s safety interlocks.

Compatible intercoms · approved control interfaces

05

Energy & tank status

Selected metering and supplementary status displays for a clearer overview, with signal ranges and isolation checked.

Modbus · dry contacts · conditioned analogue signals

06

Existing onboard systems

Keep compatible equipment where practical. NMEA 2000 data requires a suitable documented gateway and a confirmed scope.

Loxone App + Config

Simple for daily use.
Detailed behind the scenes.

The app provides access to configured rooms and functions. Loxone Config is used to build the underlying logic and prepare a documented, maintainable installation.

Owner, guest and crew permissions can be tailored to their roles. Remote access and internet services require a working connection.

05 / Engineered for the vessel

The details behind
dependable operation.

Marine integration is more than connecting products. Power, installation conditions, network design and recovery behaviour all belong in the specification.

01Marine adaptation & power
  • A suitable supply. Protected, regulated power within each device’s limits. A nominal 24 V yacht battery is not automatically a compatible electronics supply.
  • A suitable environment. Enclosures, mounting and ventilation assessed for moisture, salt exposure, vibration and temperature.
  • A coordinated design. Circuit protection, transients, grounding, isolation, cable routing and backup requirements agreed with the yacht’s electrical team.
02Offline operation, manual control & recovery
Internet loss

Local logic continues where its power and local connections remain available. Remote access, online music and internet notifications may stop.

Network loss

App access and network integrations can be affected. Direct connections depend on the controller and their own communication paths.

Controller or power fault

Affected automation may stop. Output states, independent manual controls and recovery sequences are designed and tested for the agreed scope.

A button connected to the same controller is not an independent fallback. Where required, retain equipment controls or provide a properly designed hardwired bypass.

03Network security & user access
  • Separate automation and guest networks, with only necessary traffic permitted between them.
  • Authorised remote access through a vessel-approved VPN or supported secure access service; avoid exposing control interfaces directly.
  • Individual accounts and suitable owner, crew and service permissions, with strong credentials and access reviews.
  • Maintain configuration backups and a planned update process, coordinated with vessel operations.
04Standards, flag & class requirements

The applicable design basis is established for the vessel and the work involved. This may include ABYC E-11 for AC/DC electrical systems where applicable, the vessel’s flag requirements and relevant classification rules.

Products are checked against the installation environment and any required approvals. Loxone building-automation products are not presented here as universally marine-rated or class-approved.

06 / From concept to crew handover

Designed to be understood.
Built to be maintained.

01 / DEFINE

Survey & specification

Review existing equipment, cable routes and crew routines. Agree the functions, interfaces, exclusions and operating priorities before installation.

02 / VERIFY

Commission & test

Check normal use, relevant failure scenarios, manual controls and restart behaviour. Record the results against the agreed scope.

03 / HAND OVER

Document & train

Provide agreed drawings, device and cable schedules, network information, configuration backups and practical crew training.

Fort Lauderdale & South Florida
Other regions by arrangement.

Support hours, initial response targets and attendance arrangements are agreed in writing for each project. Remote diagnostics depend on connectivity and authorised access. Response and resolution are separate commitments.
